APPLICATION FOR A WEST VIRGINIA NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PERMIT Public Notice No.: L-69-18 Public Notice Date: July 04, 2018 Paper: West Virginian Daily News The following has applied for a WV NPDES Water Pollution Control Permit for this facility or activity: Appl. No.: WV0089010 Applicant: GREENBRIER PSD NO 1 9035 SENECA TRAIL SOUTH RONCEVERTE, WV 24970 Location: LEWISBURG, GREENBRIER COUNTY Latitude: 37:44:32 Longitude: 80:28:24 Receiving Stream: GREENBRIER RIVER/NEW RIVER/KANAWHA RIVER Activity: Operate and maintain an existing wastewater collection system and convey wastewater to the City of Ronceverte's wastewater treatment facility for ultimate treatment and discharge to the Greenbrier River (approximately 45.3 miles from its mouth) of the New River. Facilities are to serve approximately 2,600 customers (residences and establishments) in the Greenbrier Public Service District No. 1 and environs. Also, the Greenbrier PSD No. 1 accepts non-domestic wastewater from IU02 - Appalachian Electronic Instruments Inc., IU03 - Aviagen Turkeys Inc. - Lewisburg Hatchery, IU04 - Greenbrier County Solid Waste Authority, IU05 - Greenbrier Valley Airport, IU06 - Reynolds Oil Co., IU08 - Aviagen Turkeys Inc. - Lewisburg Truck Wash, IU09 - Aviagen Turkeys Inc. - Maxwelton Hatchery, IU12 - WVANG Lewisburg Readiness Center, IU13 - Greenbrier County Schools, IU14 - Smooth Ambler Spirits Co. Distillery and IU15 Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company. Business conducted: Public Service District Implementation: Compliance shall be attained through Administrative Order No. 8729 issued May 25, 2017. On the basis of review of the application, the "Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 22, Article 11-8(a))," and the "West Virginia Legislative Rules," the State of West Virginia will act on the above application. Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Comments received within this period will be considered prior to acting on the permit application. Correspondence should include the name, address and the telephone number of the writer and a concise statement of the nature of the issues raised. The Director shall hold a public hearing whenever a finding is made, on the basis of requests, that there is a significant degree of public interest on issues relevant to the Draft Permit(s). Interested persons may contact the public information office to obtain further information. The application, draft permit and any required fact sheet may be inspected, by appointment, at the Division of Water and Waste Management Public Information Office, at 601 57th Street SE, Charleston, WV 25304-2345, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on business days. Copies of the documents may be obtained from the Division at a nominal cost.
